Judge's Comment: The sprites are horrible. Vanilla sprites would have been a LOT better.
The sounds are not any better. The pistol sounds are OK, but that might be because it's essentially a glock sound wise.
For the impact, removing the wound made it quite horrible.
This mod's visuals and acoustics actually made me cry.

Honestly, it made be <3<3<3<3<3<3<3 cry.

Mod Mechanics

First impressions of this mod were... fairly poor.
It seems to be incredibly laggy in many ways, and I find the concept of a gun that doesn't make people bleed to be somewhat at odds with Cortex Command. It doesn't gel with the game, and is very overpowered; you can take out a dropship with a couple of shots.

I try not to let my personal opinion influence my judging of the ini/Lua, it may be suitable to mention.

Offsets are, on the whole, pretty good. There are a couple of niggles, but no big problems.
I found the descriptions for the guns to be absurdly long. I appreciate that he mentions the keys for secondary fires and such there, however.

His actual guns don't clog up the buy menu, but he has ten script particles in bombs, which should be Buyable = 0, or ideally wouldn't be added to bombs in the first place. :???:

His Lua is... terrifying. Some parts are incredibly complex, but those same parts will have empty functions, hundreds of empty lines in a row, doing nothing, some parts are tabbed correctly, he mixes tabs and spaces, and overall, looking at his scripts is traumatic.

I offer you a sample, his GibThis script. Surely the simplest script possible which still retains a use.
function Create(self)
x = self;
end
function Destroy(self)
end
function Update(self)

self:GibThis();
end

Alternately, his Shield script: http://pastebin.com/iDRf6d39
Note that pastebin gets rid of the additional 32 empty lines on the end of the script.

After seeing his scripts, I feel a little like a HP Lovecraft protagonist.
They are incomprehensible in many, many ways.

However, they do work, so I'll not rate him down too much, except for the lag produced by (especially) the laser sights and the shield.

He has a lot of redundant properties on many things, such as AngularVel on a sound producing MOSRotating with a null sprite.
That same particle has DeepCheck = 1, HitsMOs = 1, GetsHitByMOs = 1, a description, a gold cost, Buyable = 1, it is added to Group = Bombs, it has entry and exit wounds defined, et cetera.

He has a couple of things which might be intended to be buyable, but which aren't visible ingame. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume they were not intended to be buyable.

There are several references to vanilla .rtes aside from Base.rte, as well as many unnecessary comments and empty lines.

It earned four out of ten because it had a few redeeming values; the shield was pretty neat, if horribly laggy, and I liked how he played sounds with the gib sound of a MOSRotating rather than an via AEmitter.

Mod Mechanics (2)

Pros:
- Kills based on cost of actor.
- Several Functions of the ecoshield, makes it most fun to use
- Paying for fuel of a flamer, new and awesome idea.
- The little emitters causing a puff of fire every few seconds to spew out of the flamer was delicous.
- The ability to enable and disable laser sight for the pistol was pretty cool.
- Alt bullet type for the rifle was pretty darn ingeniuos, costs money but returns more for a hit.
Cons:
- You need to use a specific gun, or device
- Some unoriginality with the orbital bombs.

Comments: I really Like the Eco Flamer and the Eco Shield.
The flamer's burning of the floor which actually damages people and buying it's fuel sold it for me.
The shield teleporitng large objects was a good original idea.

Gameplay

Not very practical in CC, half of the time it feels like some sort of hack, as money seems to come so readily when this is enabled. As well as being overbalanced, weapons come overpowered as well. Otherwise, a well polished and perfectly playable mod.
